KALIA Yojana is a flagship scheme by the Odisha government, aimed at providing financial assistance and livelihood support to farmers, landless laborers, and vulnerable agricultural households across the state.
The scheme aims to boost agriculture and improve farmers’ incomes by providing direct financial assistance for crops, livelihoods, and insurance coverage, ensuring food security and reducing poverty among rural communities.
Under KALIA, small and marginal farmers receive ₹10,000 per year in two installments for crop cultivation, while landless agricultural laborers receive ₹12,000 annually for livelihood support in areas like livestock and fisheries.
Apart from financial aid, the scheme provides life insurance coverage and accident insurance for farmers, ensuring comprehensive support. Eligible beneficiaries include small farmers, landless laborers, and vulnerable households in Odisha.
Eligible farmers can apply through local agricultural offices or the official KALIA portal. Required documents include proof of identity and income details. Approved applicants receive financial aid directly in their bank accounts.
