- The applicant must be an Indian citizen living below the poverty line (BPL).
- The primary breadwinner of the family must have passed away and been aged between 18 and 60 at the time of death.
- The applicant must be the new primary breadwinner of the family.
How to apply?
To apply for NFBS, applicants can choose the online and offline modes.
For Online:
- Download the UMANG app or visit the website.
- Applicant can log in using mobile number and OTP.
- Once logged In, an applicant can search for National Family Benefit Scheme
- Now click on “Apply,” then fill in your basic information.
- Choose the pension’s mode of payment, upload a photo, and click on the “Submit” button.
For Offline:
- Applicants can download the form from the official website or they can collect it from the local government office.
- Fill in the required details, like the deceased, the family members, and income details.
- Now, submit all the required documents along with the application.
